To optimize the trading experience and enhance risk management, CWG Markets will adjust the leverage ratios for certain trading instruments in the Instant Account, Standard Account, and Advanced Account starting from Monday, March 3, 2025. The specific arrangements are as follows:
I. Regular Leverage Ratio Adjustments
The maximum leverage ratio for Gold will be increased from 1:400 to 1:500.

II. Leverage Reduction Rules *During Data Releases
To mitigate market volatility risks, during data release periods and from market close on Friday until market open on Monday (weekend market closure), we will dynamically adjust forex leverage ratios based on market risk conditions, helping you navigate market changes with greater ease.
*Data Release Periods:
Major Financial News (UK, US, Europe, and Japan):
30 minutes before to 30 minutes after the release of major financial news. Forex leverage will be adjusted from 1:2000 to 1:500, while Gold leverage remains unchanged.
High-Impact Financial News (UK, US, Europe, and Japan):
30 minutes before to 30 minutes after the release of high-impact financial news. Forex leverage will be adjusted from 1:2000 to 1:500, while Gold leverage remains unchanged.
Weekend Periods:
Platform time (GMT+3 during Daylight Saving Time, GMT+2 during Standard Time):
From 22:00 on Friday (2 hours before the forex market closes) to 02:00 on Monday (2 hours after the forex market opens). Forex leverage will be adjusted from 1:2000 to 1:500, while Gold leverage remains unchanged.
During holidays:
Leverage may be adjusted based on risk, and you will be notified in advance. You can log in to the trading platform and check your email for details.
Note: When leverage is adjusted, all existing and new positions will be subject to the reduced leverage ratio.
